The angle or hand grinder is an important power tool in the home work shop having a multitude of uses for Do-it-yourself and crafts. As the name suggests, it can be used for grinding and cutting iron, steel and other metals, plastic, stone, slates and building tiles. It's also possible to cut thin plastic or even make shallow cuts in wood (this generates lots of smoke!). You can also use a grinder to cut up stuff for disposal in your trash. Angle grinders use a disk of abrasive material spun at a high rotational speed by an electric motor in order to perform the cutting action.
